the unicorn is a legend!!this one is marching towards that but all good things come at aprice tho!!i have been frequenting this place for a decade now ,tho sporadically, and i should say that the food is excellent and for a restarunt tucked away on the first floor, they still beleive in crisp table cloths and the food is really really good. the masalas and fish specifically is excellent.avoid chicken.rasam and white rice is also spicy tangy and delicious along with kane....but as i said its gotten overpriced so thats a dampner!!
We were with the family and Friends of 19+6 kids - had lovely time - exellent land mark for dayouting - Food is realy good - nice cocktails and Mocktails selection - we have concord a place for our outings.
"Excellent food, music, ambience and of course the beer"
5 out of 5 blips
The place is a haven if you want to spend time eating some great food, guzzling down mugs of beer, catching up with some friends, even watching the Australian Open, all while listening to some really AWESOME music. I'm in love with the place!
The food is very good - from the Kerala beef fry, pork curry/fry, rice & Kerala ulli theeyal, kappa & fish curry, appam & chicken stew, shredded beef fry, fish fry, prawn & squid to the peanut masala and even the lime soda, everything is too good. On weekdays, they have executive meals, which is a steal at Rs.120 for a bowl of rice, rotis, dal, sambar, curd, fish fry, papad, salad and I don't remember what else. All the other dishes are priced between 50 to 150 for starters and around 200 for Kappa etc. A pint is only 90 bucks and mug, 50. You don't get any alcohol other than beer.
The last time I went, a 3 hour meal for 3 people including beers and starters was around 1100 bucks. The service is also really good.
The ambiance is great, the lighting is good, the crowd not bad.
Good cocktails, with good food + good pricing!
The Service: Polite and pronto!
The Music: Good selection, but too loud. You gotta scream to have a conversation, unless, of course you are there with your "loved" one!
A heritage hangout of Bangalore, the texture of which changes with passage of time within a day, come morning, afternoon, evening or night. The only thing constant being the chitter-chatter, crackling of cups and plates, waiter's in white and the least of all some lip-smacking dishes. You visit Koshy's for more than a bite, to soak in the ambience, to be part of a crowd, to watch a world's platform along with a platter, a pint of beer, a glass of wine or even a cup of tea. It is a pleasure to be a smoker and be in Koshy. For the hard-core non-veg's try the special sausage or the kerala beef fry.. for the veg i know not what
I love eating Chinese, and once my friend showed me this place. This is an excellent and affordable place to eat Chinese, and the chilli chicken is superb
The music takes you back in time, the service is unmatched and the liquor, the best I found in any restaurant in India. The pricing outrageously cheap. Great place... Worth every cent you spend
