Once I ordered meals and fish fry. They served a fishfry which was to some extent in acceptable size for the money payable. Next day when I ordered the same dish I found that the piece was so thin and that the same was served in a folded
condition. More or less 50% fish for the same price. The Management should maintain Quantity
in terms of weight without masala or curry. Mere charging with a very little quantum is not a good business for Anjappar like Hotels. Management can even DECLARE RAW WEIGHT IN MENU CARD.
We used to go to this restaurant a year ago when I was in chennai. I loved the taste and the cost was nominal for the quality. They make appams on the spot in front of us and they come in many varieties. I loved the celone chicken parotta, it used to be so soft and spicy with chicken stuffed inside. I miss this place.
Once this used to be the favorite place for dinner for me and my gang of friends. We used to enjoy the chettinad dishes here, especially the chicken, which happens to be my favorite. But, their masala quality has become very stale. Pricing has gone up. Service has become bad. The interiors are maintained in a dark shade to hide the dirtyness. Very very unhygienic. As i said, it should soon become history.
I give it 4 ot of 10.
The ambience and the hospitality of the staff when I entered Appuchee were excellent and I think it possibly raised my expectations about the food served. However, it was disappointing to know that none of the "kuzhambu" were available and I was left with the only option of trying veg. kothu parotta. The soup was okay despite a generous serving of appalams.
Overall, it appears to be a place suited for non-vegetarians.
Definitely worth the money. The food was good and the breads were excellent. Good ambience and decent crowd.
At Rs145/- the veg buffet lunch was worth the money. All my friends enjoyed the food.
If you prefer non-veg food it will be additional Rs100/-.
A bit slow on serving the breads and not much of a variety when it comes to desert.
This is a new restaurant and so I wanted to try out.
My first experience is that the food served was excellent in taste and unique in flavour ( not the usual stuff I had in other good non-veg restaurants). The ambiance is good; the staff are neat and clean and polite too.
Though they do not have sufficient parking area there is enough for about 10 cars and about 20 bikes along the platform. Since it is in a secluded location though near Nungambakkam Rly Station, there seems to be no problem for parking vehicles.
Good food, good service, good ambience....
Infact, we call it our family restaurant and visit on every important occasion with our whole family....
If u stay in Tambaram or near by areas, u must visit.....
