This temple remains open from morning 6 a.m to 12 PM and from 4 PM to 9 PM. This temple is having a unique system of LIFE MEMBERSHIP. Current cost of the membership is Rs.2500/-. The membership offers the facility to offer puja to the residing deity on fixed day in a year which will be decided by the member, it can be one's birth day,marriage anniversary or any memorable day. Cost of the PUJA and Mahaprasad to two devotee is taken care by the temple management by puting the membership fee in to a corpus. This temple is managed by a SRI JAGANNATH SEVA SAMITY. It has a cultural wing named UTKALA .It organises various socio cultural activites , some of them is givenbelow. 1.Utkala has organized several medical camps and distributed free medicine and free food to the poor patients. 2.Utkala is running a public library having under the name of Shri Jagannath Pathagar with more than 5000 books and we are recognized by Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library foundation, a Trust of Govt. of India. 3.Utkala has organized Orissa festival at Swabhumi, a heritage plaza for the first time in the year 2003 which was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal. Since then, the Festival is being organised every year on a grand scale to show case Oriya cultural heritage. 4.Utkala has been giving scholarship to the poor and meritorious students and also financial aid to the poor. 5.Utkala has received grants from Govt. of Orissa, Coal India, National Insurance Company, Allahabad Bank, Oriental Insurance Company, United Insurance Company, Jute Manufacturing and Development Corporation – All Govt. of India PSUs for implementing their projects in the past two years. 6.Utkala is running a dance school and a music school at Khidderpore under the leadership of Smt. Aloka Kanungo, the famous dance guru and Shri Subodh Nayak, the Odissi guru. 7.Utkala has published two books namely “Jagannath in Alien Eyes” in English and “Smrutir Sarani” in Oriya in collaboration with Jadavpur University, Kolakta. 8.Utkala produced a CD on Folk Music (Instrumental) composing 21 Folk music of India. 9.UTKALA has instituted an Award – “Utkala Samman” in recognition for outstanding contribution to the field of culture since last three years and we have awarded this Samman to Sunanda Pattnaik, the Famous Classical Singer, Guru Kelu Charan Mahapatra, the Odissi Exponent, and Padmasree Chaturbhuj Meher, the Famous Odissi Saree Designer to name a few 10.Utkala has organized many seminars including “Meet the Oriya Authors” at Kolkata by Kendriya Sahitya Academy, and poem recital programmers by many poets.
