The Best Inn was located behind Merlin Homeland Mall in the quiet part of the city yet it has a very central location and is close to Rabindra Sadan Metro Station. It was quiet easy to travel to places from this location. I got a good impression about the professionalism of this guesthouse even before I had checked in when I received a detailed location map from the Guesthouse a couple of days before I was scheduled for check-in. Upon reaching the guesthouse I found that the facility has tasteful interiors. The internet connection in the room was a wired Ethernet connection but worked reasonably well. The place certainly stands out as a business guesthouse and is definitely amongst one of the best places I have stayed at during my visits to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The breakfast is standard continental however they add a nice touch to the experience by serving it in the room. The gentleman at the front desk upon enquiring regarding restaurants in the city gave some useful tips on eating out joints in Kolkata. My room was cleaned everyday and had a nice smell of lavender. Taxi was easily available from the road near Homeland Mall. Overall I had a good experience and would definitely recommend this place to others.

The Food here- especially the biryani and chanp along with firni is amazing. It's over 70 yrs old hotel and one of the oldest and popular hotels in kolkata! I just love the food here.....
