it's better that the conditions are more improvised on as there is not much attention given to cleanliness over there thumbs up for it's effort in doing so!

Probably one of the nearest tourist attraction place in Bangalore which attracts huge crowds during summer holiday / weekends ( even otherwise though). It's improved from what it was earlier, they have housed butterfly park recently which is also a value-add from the regular zoo area. A good family entertainment park

I was amazed to see so many good size tigers and lions so close to Bangalore. They maintain the place well .Its spread over a good stretch and the view is charismatic specially near the butterfly park etc

lots of wildlife and nice open space. the park arranges buses as part of safari tours to inner areas every half an hour.
But note that on holidays there will be a long queue and you may end up waiting for double time in the queue rather then watching the wild animals.

Also the park has lots of animals and best part is we can roam around and watch as much as we like.
Another Adivce is there is regular BMTC bus service to and fro.AC busses too not sure of the bus number but guess its 65D
But in all its a really enjoyable place.

Bannerghatta national park and zoo is one of the tourist attractions for both locals as well as visitors. This park is on the very end of Bannerghatta road over 20 kms away from the city .On the way you will pass through some of the IT companies on this road like Oracle, Accenture , Honeywell etc and IIM, Bangalore.
The zoo is maintained well , has decent collection of wild life, especially birds. The animal collection includes Giraffe,Zebras, Hippos, Leopard, Elephants, Camels. Kids will definitely enjoy the open space. I was surprised to see peacocks and monkeys roaming openly crossing the streets and in fact visitors were having tough time keeping the monkeys away from them. Kids will definitely love the open space. Even though it is not as big as comparable to other zoos, it is well maintained. There is a small refreshment shop where kids can get ice creams and snacks. Lots of schools bring kids for a day trips. The highlight of the visit is not inside the park, but the elephant ,lion and tiger safari that has to be taken separately. One take a enclosed bus to the inner habitats of these wild animals and can see them roam openly in the wild. These buses go every half hour from the zoo and this is a definite must see.
