"Thank you Brindavan Hotel!"

I have stayed at the Brindavan Hotel regularly since 1999 whilst living in Puttaparthi for 6/8 months of the year. I love it there! The staff are efficient, kind, helpful and polite. It is a safe and secure environment. The service is excellent! The food is superb and I agree about the South Indian breakfasts and lunch time thali s...Simply the best! I recommend the hotel and restaurant to all my friends. The accommodation is certainly not The Ritz but I have no complaints about the simplicity. However, I am among others who were disappointed with the huge price hike on the 1st April 2008.
The staff at the Brindavan take care of me so well. The porters are always cooperative when carrying suitcases, slipping out to fetch a take away out of hours for the restaurant or to purchase anything required when their own shop does not stock the required item. Kumarswamy, such a gentleman, always remembers to give me the Times of India and never forgets, even after I have been away for months, that I like to drink coffee without sugar! The front office staff are courteous and efficient as are the waiters in the restaurant, I am always greeted with a warm welcome.
As previously mentioned, the Brindavan is centrally located in Bangalore but not so convenient for the new airport, which is around 45km away, opposed to the old one in Airport Road. However, I would still choose to stay there and travel that extra distance to the airport. It is a short distance from Cantonement Railway Station (around Rs40/- auto rickshaw ride, plus tip) and not so far from Majestic Bus Stand and City Railway Station (again, around Rs40/- in auto rickshaw, Rs200/- in taxi)
The Brindavan is within walking distance of the new shopping malls, Bangalore Central, The Garuda Mall, Lifestyle etc and Commercial Street and being located on M G Road is just around the corner from Brigade Road.
I am in England at present and look forward to staying at the Brindavan when I return to India n the New Year...
AS AN ADDENDUM: I did return to India early February and stayed until mid July.... I was fortunate to be able to stay at The Brindavan on many occasions, either alone or with friends....I was treated so well.... No complaints...Thank you to all the staff, they are wonderful! I am looking forward to eating a meal in the new North Indian Restaurant which was due to open shortly after my departure. If it is as good as the South Indian restaurant I know I will not be disappointed. Keep up the good work Brindavan!
