China Pearl

I had just been to China Pearl the other day with four of my friends (birthday treat) who were all undecided where to go as there are literally hundreds of restaurant in Koramangala. One of them suggested chinese and china pearl as it was the nearest chinese restaurant on the way back from forum mall into koramangala.
We were greeted with smiles as we entered the well lit restaurant with soft oriental music playing in the background. I left the ordering to my friends who seem to know the menu in and out. We had the Manchow soup, Red Dragon Chicken, Hunan Prawns and some amazing black pepper chicken which they bring to your table and then pour it into a sizzling hot plate. Then there was the thai flat noodles which i gobbled up most of and some other rice and gravy items which i did not ask the names as I was busy stuffing myself with the delicious food. I think the green rice was Jade rice which was a spinach based fried rice. There was a list of desserts but we had our friend s birthday cake which was presented in a beautiful glass stand with a classy birthday music in the background (not some cheesy children s song). To my pleasant surprise the bill was very reasonable compared to the food and service and the ambiance. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend this place if you want the best food and service for your money s worth.

They cater to the philosophy of sweetening up the victim ang going for the jugular!!. We had checked in at China Pearl for a birthday celebration get-together,everything was going well with the quick service and not-so-bad food and when the bill came. A long parchment full of surprises. we were a group of 13 so a long bill and a huge amount was expected. But the cautious amongst us found that the bill was way off the amount they had calculated. Checking proved their over-smartness not only in service but also in cleverly done-up bills. Beefed up bills that accounted for stuff not eaten, lesser priced ones added to the costlier ones and some extra chicken dishes added for impact. when brought to the notice of the staff, they were not even apologetic and carried out the corrections.when asked for the older bill, they were reluctant OBVIOUSLY..the difference was a pricey 1600. the passiveness shows that they are experts in this and have faced such situations. i was really skeptical at first about the place as such Chinese resturants are allover the place but i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and simplicity of the ambiance....must try at least one.

i was skeptical abt going to another chinese place after having not so good experience from some chinese resto. But this was very good place. In fact the best place to have a chinese food experience.

lovely chinese food, esp thai kwat soup n momos... ;-)
