As a child I used to go for walks with my dad to Lalbagh and to MTR for breakfast. I could never forget that flavour and the atmosphere..! After a long time recently when I went again there, after a long long wait though, I was extremely happy and satisfied to see that the typical south Indian Brahmin taste is as good as ever..!

Yes the wait is quite frustrating esp. on the weekends, but i have never had a meal that is as good as what you get at MTR.

I was travelling Banglore on my business meet. I wanted to have typical local food that introduces me to Flavour of Karnatak. My buyer took me to MTR. The food is excellent, cleanliness was average, service is lightning fast but waste of food is too high. Price is also very high if you look at other parameters.

But its good to have MTR Food instead of regular Dal Fry and Tandoori Roti

MTR is something which has historic significance for Bangalore. So visit this place atlest once, in a true Bangalorean spirit !!

Went to MTR this weekend. The food taste is good, and the variety is also excellent. Its definitely worth a try

If you are going there for the first time, its important to know these info:
a) There is no parking space in front of the hotel even for one two wheeler, and the road is a one way. You need to navigate quite a bit to find a parking space nearby
b) Lunch is from 12:30 to 2:45. Book it and go, otherwise its really really crowded.
