Rim Naam Restaurant

We went to RimNam for two base reasons 1. Close to home 2.Craving for Thai food. Ever since that eventful walk- in dinner.We are hooked to the place.Fallen hook line sinker is actually more apt.RimNam is now a place we go regularly to,take/ recommend to friends for amazing food and where we go to celebrate special occasions
Few places hold both the distinction and RimNam easily achieves that with food which is to be enjoyed to be believed and service which is exemplary.Being a foodie and a cook myself , eating out with me is a nuisance for my family , who thru the meal are put thru torturous descriptions of what could have been done to make the food better and a menace to society as i insist on giving my feedback to the chef !!
Food :Chef beautifully brings out the flavour,each one of them,in every dish.You ask for a fiery dish and request it to be tempered, it is so well executed that you still understand its fiery character and it still suits your palate.Meats are ALWAYS perfectly done ,never leathery/chewy or Under cooked .Vegetables are beautifully fresh,crunchy and a variety of them are used in the curries .Each of the Thai spices are put in perfect tandem,that it reminds you of a well written verse.So even when you order all the curries, the tastes are unique and you get a sense of all combinations of herbs and spices used.
Our favorites - Red Curry with Fish, Green Curry with Prawn,Massamman curry are to be had to be belived.Artfully created .The humble Tom yum soup ascends heights of brilliance at the way RimNam has rendered it .
Service :Hosts are attentive ,notice minute detail,if they sense you are getting hungry till main course arrives,prompt comes one of "The" delicious spring rolls on your table.They suggest great food combinations,portions are rightfully designed,know how much and when to give attention .Informative,Classy and genuinely customer focussed.
ps:Incase you have actually ever filled out ( till they bring back your card....lets do some activity attitude)the form with your bday/anniversary , they remember and celebrate it along with you !

RimNam is brilliant and a MUST try.The FOOD here is Sheer MAGIC.Thai food in all its brilliance is what you will get at RimNam.Go, sit back, and enjoy the khana and the khaatir !

I was not too pleased with my one dinner there a couple of years back unless things have changed. Did not like the food too much, the Oberoi has never been known for its food anyway. The ambience is great but in the evening, there are mosquitoes which come at you with a vengeance and the Oberoi folks have to keep fumigating the place. The fish was undercooked, which might be alright for non-Indians, but i like sea food to be well done otherwise they have that fishy smell which can put one off for life.

Great food meets spectaculart ambience and professional service to create a hole in your pocket. But trustme, you're not going to mind this one! It is, in all respects, value for money.

The seafood is great, the stir-fries recommended, the desserts subtly done and the ambience, well, that itself is worth the money spent here.

2500 or thereabouts for a meal for two without drinks

We went here on a special occasion. And this was a great pick.

I loved the food. They had sea food on ice. The chef allowed us to pick the fish and cooked it the way we wanted it. The dessert was also great.

The best part of the experience was the ambiance. A good place for a special occasion.
