    Iam staying near this mall.Very often i used to go there.At d entrance purse checking of ladies is very low standard.They check only one zipof d purse,one can easily carry anything dangerous in d other zips .Sometimes they dont check d purse at all .In foodbazaar ,there is no A.C., we buy things while sweating, d feeling is disgusting.There should be a WESTSIDE here as in other malls.Autos outside d mall r looting people by charging triple the fair for minimum distance . Iam very upset with very bad home delivery system of groceries.Due to all these this mall is not upto d mark.

    "Sigma Mall Parking Cheating Customers"

    I went to this mall today to see a movie.The mall was practically empty since it was a holiday.I parked my car in the basement and went upto the 4th Floor to the movie.

    I entered the mall at 11.56 AM and was ready to exit by 2.40 PM post the movie.

    I discovered at the exit gate that the parking ticket given was not with me and missing.The exit booth demanded that I have to pay Rs 100 since I have lost the ticket. I went to the Manager and complained about this practice.He told me that I have committed a mistake by losing the ticket and have to pay for it .I told him that such losses do happen since the paper receipt provided for parking was so flimsy and there was no board at the entry gate that losing the ticket will be penalized.This took about 30 minutes.

    I was extremely upset with his attitude and I was determined to search the missing ticket.

    I went upto the cinema hall and checked for the missing ticket including in the vaccum cleaner that was used to clean the movie hall post the movie. I did not find the same.

    I then went to the entry gate and asked the counter to provide me with a duplicate ticket based on my car number.He promptly printed one and gave this to me. I took this to the exit counter and told that based on this duplicate ticket that proved my entry timing, I am willing to pay Rs 40 for the three hours of parking. By this time the mall management had sent about two or three people to monitor my case.

    However on scanning my duplicate ticket into their POS machine,they came up with a very clever calculation that since this is a duplicate ticket I have to pay Rs 140. Rs 100 as penalty for lost ticket and Rs 40 for the duplicate ticket that was printed.

    I told them that they were cheating customers by charging customers based on arbitrary charges and I would make sure that I will take this as a in principle fight for consumer right.

    I finally paid Rs 100 since they would not allow me to go and also because it was alomost an hour after we first came to the exit gate and my wife was waiting in the car.

    I want to bring this arbitrary practice to the attention of the Consumers and Mall Management.

    The key questions are

    1. Is it fair for them to charge customers arbitrarily even when the duplicate receipts provided by the gates proved that we had used car parking only for less than 3 hours and the legitimate charges should have been only Rs 40 based on less than 4 Hours of parking in the mall ? They could charge a nominal Rs 5 for the lost ticket and that is reasonable.

    2. There is no ownership for educating customers about this at the entry gates (for example through a highly visble sign board) and by making sure that the parking ticket is a cardboard and not a piece of flimsy thermal paper.

    I request other customers to be careful in using Sigma mall who have adopted such tactics to extract money by arbitrary practices.

    I also demand that the Mall management return the excess charges collected from me.

    It is not the amount but the principle behind the excess charges and arbitrary nature of these extra penalties that we as consumers need to take up strongly.

    One of the not so good malls in town. You have sales people hovering around you and breathing down your neck that makes shopping experience horrible. Parking lot is not too good either and the place is not spacious enough and its lot more noisier and makes you actually run out of the mall :-)) at least i did want to get out ASAP ...
    Food although is not too bad though its the general stuff.
    Lot more improvements can be taken care of where people would love to come back to this Mall after all its not too bad..

    1 . fun cinemas ticket at basement..no where u will find this notice that tickets are sold there, only till u go up & then come back down, also u have to rely on lifts as there r no stairs from there.
    2. security only on main enterance - not from mc d, makes no sense
