Umerkot

Today we went to have lunch with our client, expecting it will be good. But it was pathetic.For vegetarians there were no gud curries. for the Main course they had just veg biriyani and non veg Briyani and some rotis and nan. The roti s were very hard. The Desserts or Dessert were not gud. Only two types bengali sweet and bottlegaurd sweet. Pls dont go there
The tase and quality was also not gud.

The kebabs are to die for. They serve huge portions of well marinated meat that completely blows all your gastronomical senses. The place is a must try for anyone who loves kebabs.

I visit Umerkot often and I just love the food there. I can t comment on non-veg as am a vegetarian but whatever I have tried there, I was more than satisfied with quality, quantity and taste.

Their drink Narial ki Shikanji and dessert Tandoori Ananas are a must try... I sincerely recommend Umerkot for all food lovers.

We visited on 23/8. The vegetarian food was just OK. The portions ( we ordered one baby corn starter) was not small, it was tiny. Only some 8 smallest size pieces for 3 of us! Even the main course dishes were very small. Is there any measure or any standard as what a portion should weigh ( 250 grams or something?) in the restaurants? Compared to most of the restaurants in the region of K'Mangala or Indira Nagar, they get the award of providing the smallest portion! The service was fast enough that they gave the bill ( cheque for US centric people !) before serving the desserts! Like most of the restaurants in Bangalore, they also served soda with out fizz ( to add to whisky). Most of the restaurants don't charge seperately for the soda ( it is collected in the exhorbitant price they charge for 30 ml measure ) and that is the reason, they think they are doing great favour by supplying soda in what ever way they get. Overall, I could say average. Sometimes, with so much of hype in internet, you also go with some great expectations and finally, they are all the same, average in terms of service, quality and uniformly high in prices!

Went for their ongoing Rajasthani food festival...It was awesome..great variety for both vegetarians and non vegetarians...Loved the special rajasthani chicken dish....kadh murgh...It was worth the half an hour wait (for the table).Must try for all food lovers- :)
