Excellent foods available at cheaper prices with no compromise in quality of food.

It's been part of my agenda every week - to go to this nostalgic place to have Idly / Vada & Dosa. You need to get used to this place to savour the taste! A first timer may find it difficult to digest the crowd and the waiting time .... but for one who knows how and when to manouvere the crowd - it takes about 10 min to get a seat and another 15 min to finish your dosa. I have been used to this place for the last 25 years and continue to do so... irrespective of the fact that it has lots of ghee / butter in it .. but will continue to be the first place where I visit - when I come back to Bangalore after a long tour from abroad.

I am 45 yrs now. I am a regular visitor since I was 7 yrs old. The masala dosas here are very very tasty and I tried and tasted the same in many hotels but not like Vidyarthi Bhavan. I think no where in the world you get such a tasty masala dosa with chutney. Of course, the rush is too much and finding a place is very difficult. You should order 2 dosas at a time so that you need not wait for a long time for the second one.

May be CTR has copied with more butter but this hotel has done a remarkable STANDARDIZATION unparalleled in hotel HISTORY since OVER 70 years.
Yes parking is a problem so is the jam seats inside but 70 years ago it was not there.who is responsible.OUR MULTI MILLIONAIRE POLITICIANS who have not made this road wide nor have they cared to construct a parking structure as in USA,but they have gone and keep going there to USA for EVER.
This restaurant should ban ENTRY to all Bureaucrats and politicians.The place must be expanded by the Govt in public interest by demolishing the adjoining buildings and made to international standards in every aspect.
