Great Food - especially the Kabab platter. Good Service - Polite.
But YES, its expensive!

The decor is nice, the food is expensive but good. I have to mention that for the price the portions are small. The worst part is the service, they will take one hour to bring your food at the least. And after that you will not see your waiter again until he brings you the bill.
As said above, ok if you have to impress someone with the fancy decor and good food. Not a place to go regularly because of the price and the poor service.

yep! the title sums it up! First thing that hits you when you enter Kaafila is the deco!

Man, the interior guys put in a lot of imagination, hardwork and effort into the deco and it clearly shows. From Kolkata you are immediately taken to Afghanistan.

Very real "artifical guns" hangining here and there. Picture frames skewed as if it just survived a Tomahawk attack. The seats, gives a "thread bare" look. The waiters in afghani garb! The lighting is with "electrical" lanterns.Man, it takes quite sometime to take this all in.

The food. Simply mouth watering if you dig hot, spicy food. Their speciality is the "rung".. wow. they bring the flaming dish to your table and you simply dig in. The food is so good, that you will die to return (if somebody else is paying hehe)

The service is excellent. And you have hard drinks on the menu.

Downside. VERY expensive!

Parking isint a problem at all. There is one another thing that I have noticed here. The complimentary serving of "pan" or bettle leaf. Take as many as you want :)

My verdict: Come. Make sure you are loaded. You can impress the hell out of anybody.. from a visting delegate to your date!
