Kasturi Restaurant

Its location, in a narrow lane in a busy locality in Central Kolkata near a crossing, makes parking a problem. If you can solve that, and are not overly concerned about things other than the food (e.g. ambience), this restaurant provides good value for money. You get nothing fancy, but almost everything that a typical Bengali would want. If you are going for dinner, don't go too late in the night as dishes start getting exhausted (a positive in my book). In short, a typical middle-class Bengali Hotel.
