This restaurant is located on Airport road opposite Diamond district in the same complex as TGI Friday and IndiJoe. The theme inside is old time bolywood and hence you will see the walls adorned with oldies like devanand ,shammi kapoor etc... Even the dishes are named after boolywood movies and so you will find drinks like kaala pathar, bombay to goa etc... There is no buffet , they serve you unlimited quantity at you table - I would highly recommend palak fry in the appetizers. Both veg and non-veg dishes are equally good. Only problem is they are slow in serving and you will end up poorer by close to 500Rs per person. You can try the sweet paan after the heavy lunch or dinner ( have to pay separately)
It is worth a visit at least once.
This place serves typical Tamil iyengar style food. Served on banana leaf , You get unlimited rice, sambhar ,appalam, 2 varieties of vegetables ,pickle, and rasam ,buttermilk and payasam.
Cost is 65Rs. Place is frequented by south indians and office goers in the area. I know of some die hard friends who like this place and have no problems eating here daily.
It is on first floor above kairali restaurant - so don t mis it.
These are 2 different restaurants - Malgudi on the ground floor is the south indian restaurant serving all 4 south indian regional cuisines - karnataka, andhra, tamil and kerala style. The upper restaurant is the Dhaba - typical north indian style.
I have been to both - in fact i have been to malgudi atleast 3 times and to the dhaba once. I prefer the Malgudi because you get to taste the best of all the southern delicacies like the kerala appam, puttu , bene dosa , jowar rotis etc..
The taste though is not very authentic. The price is slightly on the higher side.
It has enough seating capacity - so getting a seat is not a problem.
The ambience is okay - it is based on RK Narayan s Malgudi days and RK Lakshman s cartoons covers the walls.
A permanent parrot astrologer sits outside and you can a take a peek at your future !
This clinic is in Murugeshpalya on 1st cross. It is run by Dr.Chandran , and is a free NGO based service. i have started showing both my kids here since i heard good feedback from parents. My kids like most kids in Bangalore get cold and fever almost every other month due to the weather and dust here.
The homeo medicine seems to be effective since the fever frequency has reduced since then. One is not supposed to take any Alloapthic medicine once one starts homeo treatment and in take of non-veg food also has to be controlled.
The clinic is closed on sundays and mondays. It is open on mornings on sat and evenings on weekdays.
The doctor is a little short tempered and hence one has to have patience and put up with his outbursts - after all it is for your own health !
