The portions are very healthy. A heap of fries, vegetables and a juicy slab of meat. Most steak houses have a very varied menu for beef and very little choice of other meats, Yoko doesn't have that problem. There is enough to choose from in the other meats. Also all steaks are made with the same perfection. The starters even the vegetarian ones are very very nice. The ice tea the perfect accompaniment to wash it down. The desserts are also worth a try. Even though the resturant has two floors there is limited seating. If you go there during the proper dining times make sure u make a reservation. It is by no means cheap but with the portions and quality of the food it is worth the money.
The ambience is brilliant. With low log tables, lower chairs, high ceiling it gives u a caravan like feeling. It is scene setting at it's best. The portion are relatively large. Menu has a lot of variety. The starters are classics with a unique twist. The Briyanis are alright but have too much going on. The breads are over priced but this isn't a budget resturant it is almost a high end one. The food is well flavoured but isn't spicy and doesn't really suit the typical South Indian palate. The desserts though are in a class of their own and are a real pleasure!
One of the best budget resturants around Kormangala. The highlight of the place has got to be it's momos. Although famous for it's momos it does have a decent menu of starters, main courses, noodles, rice, koithio; most chinese resturant fare. It has a kind of a dark rain forest meets bamboo bush feel with it's bamboo booths and dim lighting. It has a very intimate feel to it. The music is very happening and makes for a great background. The service is fast and efficient. It is a must visit. Seating may be hard to come by between 12.30 and 2.30.
It's got a very old school feel to it. It is like entering a parallel universe. Service is very efficient. The menu has most items that darshini hotels serve, but the one thing that is a must have here is the Masala Dosa, it is crisp and thick. It's absolutely heavenly, really fattening though! Even with the renovation and extra seating there is usually a rush to get in. Best time to go is at around 7-7.30 in the morning. The heaped plate of Dosas carried out by each waiter is a sight to behold!
