    this is one of the most popular chettinad restaurants in madras. the best thing about them is their consistency. they are holding on to their success for a long time. the food here is tasty and the items in the menu are truly chettinad. dont miss the vaazhapoo vadai, chettinad chicken curry, appam, poondu kozhambu which are excellent.

    arguably the best store in chennai for this segment, mercy electonics started as a very small store and have grown today to be one of the biggest stores in this segment in madras. its only because of the quality of the goods that they sell. there is nothing that you cant get here. from small capacitors to lcd monitors, everything is available here. and their staff is prett decent and quick too.

    located in the complex just opposite ethiraj college, this ice cream parlor is very popular with youngsters especially collegers. they have a lot of varieties served at a very reasonable price and its tastes pretty decent too.

    "still sticking to tradition"
    one of the landmarks in triplicane, this restaurant is one of the oldest in madras. the best thing about this restaurant is the way they serve sambhar for the idlis and dosas. they give it so much that you will have to search for your idlis in them. exceptionally tasty, it is indeed a good thing that they are still sticking to their traditions. in the recent times, they ve grown to open two more branches elsewhere in the city.
